 Fletcher's Canyon - 09/21/04

09/24/04

The Fletcher Trail is a one mile uphill trail, but very gradual.  It's actually a pleasant walk with a scenic reward.  After completeing the gradual, easy ascent, the final quarter mile is more challenging.  A few ups and downs on loose gravel brings you into what appears to be a closed box canyon.  There is evidence of frequent water falls from the stained walls and heavy, green vegetation.

The canyon walls curve into what appears to be a scenic dead-end.  But others indicate that you can reach the South Loop Trail with some bouldering through the canyon.  We didn't pursue this since we planned to do the Cathedral Rock trail before day's end.

Following are pictures with some comments.

The Fletcher Trail is easy to follow.
